Eight of those he wrote and directed. On two more he worked as cinematographer. One was a cover song.
Small crews, full responsibility, learning by making. That is where the craft was built.

Behind the CameraBehind the camera, before the feature.
Before making a feature, Sharan also worked behind the camera on films directed by others. Those collaborations became another part of the craft: understanding how a story is shaped not only through direction, but through the image itself.

In Search of KadapaA different kind of frame.
In Search of Kadapa is an album song presented by MASTERCREW, with Sharan Moorthy as Director and Cinematographer.
Beyond FilmThe practice widened.
The camera began travelling beyond narrative filmmaking.
Advertising films, infomercials and cultural programmes became part of the same practice — the same small-crew discipline, pointed at commercial and cultural work.
Allu CinemasFrom day one to opening day.
Sharan documented the construction of Allu Cinemas from its first day through completion, creating a visual record of the space taking shape.

For electric bike manufacturer Brisk EV, Sharan worked on an advertising film and an infomercial, contributing cinematography and editing.
